Local Roots: Farm to Restaurant Distribution believes that food should be locally grown, produced and transported with thoughtful practices! Ingredients handled this way are fresher, thus having higher nutrient density and beauty. These great practices also benefit our environment and local economy! So of course, Local Roots wanted to increase the amount of this amazing local food circulating through Florida. First they started co-creating relationships between chefs and farmers that they have time for. By facilitating the communication and then the transportation of local food directly from the farm to the kitchen, it made it so the chefs have time to be better chefs and farmers have time to be better farmers. Thus allowing for the community to enjoy beautiful and healthful food co-created by some of the most talented farmers and chefs Florida has to offer.
